Niagara Creative Writing Conference at Writing Studio

The International Women's Writing Guild (IWWG) is sponsoring the Niagara Creative Writing Conference at the Women's Writing Studio at St. Mary's Space to Create on Saturday, October 7, form 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. This is an opportunity for a day of creative writing led by three outstanding Guild instructors. You'll find insights into writing memoir, fiction, and op ed as well as enrichment for your creative life at this day-long workshop.

“Any woman who is the least bit interested in writing will find inspiration, skills and, most important, support by attending the conference and learning about the IWWG, ” said Mary Lou Kownacki, OSB, coordinator of the Women’s Writing Studio. “I am so pleased that Erie’s Poet Laureate, Marisa Moks-Unger, is hosting the Conference at the Writing Studio because the Guild is pioneer where women are concerned. It has empowered  women to tell their stories for over 40 years.”

The Conference includes these sessions: The Story of Your LIfe with Mary Beth Coudal, The Narrative Arc in Fiction with Cathleen OConnor and Standing Up and Speaking Out: Writing the Op Ed with Marsha McGregor.

Marisa Moks-Unger is the keynote speaker.

The day includes a catered lunch and a wine and cheese reception.

Location: 310 East 10th Street, Erie, PA; Parking is in rear of building.
